The new PS4 Pro update will download for the base Metal Gear Solid V game, as well as the complete edition which includes the prologue Ground Zeroes, however if you own the two games separately then you will not be able to experience Ground Zeroes in 1440p as there is no stand-alone PS4 Pro patch for it yet.
This pretty much confirms that Metal Gear Solid V was never made with 4K in mind, a disappointing revelation for fans of the long-running franchise. It has been confirmed that there is no 4K in the update, but merely a native 1440p without even any downsampling of 4K textures.
The Metal Gear Solid V PS4 Pro update has been released, and gamers are struggling to find a reason to get back in to the game.
