In fact I disliked it so much that I returned it and was left not feeling too hopeful about the re-releases as a whole. I really didn't enjoy the Hogfather re-release last year - the narration wasn't for me, the voicing used for Ridcully and the wizards was grating, the audio levels jumped about and it just wasn't a patch on the Nigel Planer read version.
Some elements of the Discworld universe may reflect this. The first book in the Discworld series – The Colour of Magic – was published in 1983. Wyrd Sisters is the second book in the Witches series, but you can listen to the Discworld novels in any order. Particularly when the blood on your hands just won't wash off. But even she finds that meddling in royal politics is a lot more complicated than certain playwrights would have you believe. Granny Weatherwax is the most highly regarded of the leaders they don't have. Witches don't have these kinds of leadership problems themselves - in fact, they don't have leaders. A child heir and the royal crown, both missing. A king cruelly murdered, his throne usurped by his ambitious cousin.
